SOLUTION: In this optical element, an optical surface 3 is formed on at least one surface of a planar substrate 2. The substrate 2 includes a mark part 10 formed of a recess 11 extending from the surface where the optical surface is formed to the side 2b perpendicular to the surface where the optical surface is formed.
