INDOOR UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit for an air conditioner capable of obtaining improvement of reliability by allowing easy and positive attachment without any inconvenience in disposing a negative ion generator being a functional component in a draft duct upstream side of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The negative ion generator M equipped with an electrode part Ma comprising an electrode case 35 covering a needle electrode d of a negative oil generating electrode 32 and a power supply part Mb is disposed in a suction ventilation passage 15B in an indoor unit body 1, an air filter 16 is disposed in an upstream side of the ventilation passage, the heat exchanger 8 providing a heat exchange effect with air, applied with an earth potential as an opposing electrode of the negative ion generator, and trapping and collecting negatively charged dust is disposed in a downstream side of the ventilation passage, an air blower 10 is disposed in the downstream side of the ventilation passage, and a fixed frame K is equipped between a suction opening and the heat exchanger. The fixed frame is equipped with an air filter support part S supporting the air filter, a power supply support part 27 supporting the power supply part of the negative ion generator, and an electrode support part 28 supporting the electrode part of the negative ion generator.
