METHOD FOR ESTIMATING MATERIAL CONSTANT AND STRAIGHTENING STATE OF MATERIAL TO BE STRAIGHTENED UNDER ROLLER STRAIGHTENING, AND OPERATIONAL METHOD OF ROLLER LEVELER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the material constant and the straightening state of a material to be straightened during the roller straightening in order to obtain the roller straightening effect stably, and an operational method of a roller leveler. SOLUTION: The straightening load and the straightening power during the roller straightening are measured, and the material constant of the material to be straightened and the bending deformation imparted to the material during roller straightening are estimated based on the measured values. Further, the expected values of the straightening load and the straightening power when imparting the bending deformation to be imparted to the material to be straightened during the optimum roller straightening in order to flatten the warp and the wave shape of the material to be straightened are calculated by using the estimated material constant of the material to be straightened. Each roll position of a roller leveler is corrected so that the measured values are matched with the expected values, and the roller leveler is operated thereby. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
