Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, since a synchronization separation threshold is calculated using a pedestal level in a conventional synchronization separation circuit, synchronization separation cannot be stably carried out when an input signal of an NTSC signal or the like is varied. SOLUTION: This device for separating a synchronization signal separates a synchronization signal of a video input signal, and includes: a synchronization signal chip level calculation means to calculate a synchronization signal chip level of the input signal; a threshold calculation means to calculate a synchronization separation threshold by adding a correction value to the synchronization signal chip level; a comparison means to compare the input signal with the synchronization separation threshold; and a synchronization signal generation mans to generate a synchronization signal based on the comparison result of the comparison means.
