PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having excellent display performance at low cost. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes a front face plate 1 provided with a plurality of scanning electrodes 5 and sustaining electrodes 6 arranged in a row direction on both sides of an electric discharge gap MG provided between them; a rear face plate 2 arranged to face the front face plate with an electric discharge space provided in between; and barrier ribs 13 partitioning the electric discharge space for every discharge cell. The scanning electrode 5 and the sustaining electrode 6 have first portions facing through the electric discharge gap MG, second portions arranged in parallel with spaces from the first portions, and third portions that connect the first portions to the second portions and provided for every electric discharge cell, and abut on the top parts of the barrier ribs 13 of the front face plate 1 and rear face plate 2 at portions other than the electric discharge gap MG.
