Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the occurrence of the block off of a distant load in a combined cycle power plant with a steam-cooling gas turbine. SOLUTION: In the combined cycle power plant in which a steam turbine 1 comprising a high pressure turbine 5, an intermediate pressure turbine 6 and a low pressure turbine 7, a gas turbine 2 and a power generator 3 are connected in series with each other on the same axis and which is provided with an exhaust heat recovery boiler 4 collecting the exhaust gas of the gas turbine 2 to generate steam, there is provided a distant load block-off detection means which calculates an output of the steam turbine based on a steam pressure detected downstream of a low pressure steam regulating valve through which the steam generated at a low pressure drum 13 passes, adds the output of the steam turbine to the output of the gas turbine to obtain an output of the turbine, contracts an output of the power generator from the output of the turbine, and detects the block off of the distant load when the deviation between the output of the turbine and the output of the power generator is not more than a previously established reference value.
