IMAGING APPARATUS, IMAGING ELEMENT DRIVING METHOD, AND IMAGING ELEMENT DRIVING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of noise, such as mechanical sound, control the discontinuity of a photographed moving picture, and make it possible to photograph a color moving picture at a dark place. SOLUTION: A DSP3 measures a present amount of exposure when taking in pixel information from CCD1 to photograph a moving picture. When the exposure is too light, a diaphragm mechanism is not driven to reduce the amount of exposure, but a timing generator 5 is controlled to switch to 2/8 thin-out horizontal addition driving and continue the photographing of the moving picture. Moreover, when the amount of exposure is too dark, the diaphragm mechanism is not driven to increase the amount of exposure, but the timing generator 5 is controlled to switch to 4/8 thin-out horizontal addition driving and continue the photographing of moving picture.
