PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for suppressing image deterioration caused by erroneous distortion correction processing. SOLUTION: A distortion correction unit 61 includes: a distortion calculation section 62 for calculating distortion on the basis of a motion that has occurred in an imaging apparatus upon imaging; a distortion adjustment value calculation section 63 for calculating a distortion adjustment value on the basis of the situation where an input image is generated; and a distortion correction processing section 64 which performs distortion correction processing for correcting distortion in the input image on the basis of the distortion and the distortion adjustment value. The distortion adjustment value calculation section 63 reduces the distortion adjustment value in accordance with the generation situation of the input image, thereby reducing the degree of correction in the distortion correction processing by the distortion correction processing section 64.
