PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ignition lighter sounding a predetermined melody from a lighter itself simultaneously with piezoelectric ignition. SOLUTION: This lighter 1 includes a gas releasing nozzle 4 vaporizing and releasing gas in a gas fuel tank 2, and a piezoelectric ignition device 3 causing spark discharge between the gas releasing nozzle 4 and an electrode 5 arranged in the vicinity of the gas releasing nozzle. The lighter 1 includes a sounding circuit section 10 composed of a sound-generating element 11, a sound-generation electric power supplying battery 12 and an induction switch 13 with a radio receiving antenna 13a. The radio receiving antenna 13a of the induction switch 13 receives radio waves generated by the spark discharge generated between the gas releasing nozzle and the electrode 5 by the piezoelectric ignition device 3, and the sounding circuit section 10 is closed to thereby operate the sound-generating element 11. The sounding circuit section 10 includes an ON/OFF changing-over switch 14 opening or closing the circuit itself independently in addition to the induction switch 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
