GALENIC FORMULA WITH EXTENDED RELEASE OF MILNACIPRAN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prolonged release galenic formula having a multi-particulate form containing a plurality of microgranules and enabling oral administration of milnacipran in a single daily dose of 60-140 mg. SOLUTION: The prolonged release galenic formula includes active microgranules containing a saccharose and/or starch nucleus of a particle diameter of 200-2,000 μm and containing in each microgranule a binder and 150-1,000 μg of milnacipran, wherein each microgranule is coated with a 20-100 μm-thick film derived from at least one polymer insoluble in water but permeable to physiological liquids, and the galenic formula enables an in vitro release corresponding to the following pattern: between 10 and 55% of the dose released in 2 hours, between 40 and 75% of the dose released in 4 hours, between 70 and 90% of the dose released in 8 hours, and between 80 and 100% of the dose released in 12 hours.
