PARKING ASSISTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking assisting system capable of attaining parking assistance without performing complicated operation processing. SOLUTION: The parking assisting system 1 is provided with: a plurality of IC tags 2 buried in a parking line for forming a parking space; IC tag readers 3A, 3B mounted on the vehicle; and ECU 4. The IC tag readers 3A, 3B are reading the information of the IC tag 2 and are mounted to both left and right sides of a rear part of the vehicle. ECU 4 has a vehicle position calculation part 7; and a vehicle guide part 8. The vehicle position calculation part 7 receives the information of the IC tag 2 read by the IC tag readers 3A, 3B, detects the number of read IC tag 2 and determines a position relationship of the parking space and the vehicle from variation of the number of the IC tag 2. The vehicle guide part 8 produces assistance information for guiding the vehicle to the parking space based on the vehicle position data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
