METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PLASTICIZING PLASTIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly remove moisture from an additive and to uniformly and speedily carry out kneading and melting when plastic pellets and the additive containing moisture (wood powder not preliminarily dried, or the like) is supplied into a heated extrusion cylinder, kneaded by an extrusion screw, melted, and extruded from the front end of the extrusion cylinder. SOLUTION: Pressurized hot air or heated steam is supplied to a feed zone of the extrusion cylinder 4 through a nozzle 8, the plastic pellets and the additive which are in the feed zone are heated, moisture is removed from the additive, and they are discharged outside the extrusion cylinder 4 at a rear position from a blow opening. The length of the extrusion cylinder is shortened, and the hysteresis of heating plastic is curtailed at the same time, so that a deterioration in product quality can be prevented.
