IMAGE CONTENT RECEPTION DEVICE AND IMAGE CONTENT RECEPTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with a restoration degree of error correction that although a restoration rate becomes high as an amount of a redundant packet (FEC packet) for restoration transmitted with data increases when a packet lost on a network is restored by using an FEC, a transmission data amount increases for that purpose, and band shortage easily occurs due to a load of the network, which leads to an increase of packet loss. SOLUTION: In a content distribution service in which a plurality of FEC restoration methods can be selected, a receiver 3 applies an FEC restoration method in the ascending order of band increase, and performs content reception by applying an optimum method for the content in a network 1 of a user as soon as possible.
