PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information about the operating state of the exchanged part unit assembly after the part unit assembly has been exchanged. SOLUTION: An exchangeable part unit assembly is used in a printing or copying device and constituted of one or several modular forms, and the exchangeable part unit assembly has an identification device with a non-volatile memory for storing data. The identification device also has a control circuit and an antenna for transmitting radio data, The identification device is detachably connected to a process control device of the printing or copying device through a communication interface disposed in the printing or copying device, thereby, the radio data is transmitted between the identification device and the process control device. Data such as identification data to identify the part unit assembly and operating data of the part unit assembly are stored into the non-volatile memory, as the radio data.
