INSPECTION METHOD FOR INSPECTING FLAW OF SURFACE OF METAL BELT END

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting a metal belt end in the noncontact state. SOLUTION: This method for inspecting existence of a flaw of the surface of the metal belt end is provided with: a first lamp 42 arranged on one side of the metal belt 30, for irradiating light from one side; a second lamp 47 arranged on the side of the metal belt, for irradiating light from the side; and a third lamp 52 arranged on the side on the opposite side to the side, for irradiating light from the side. In the inspection method, each light is irradiated from the first to third lamps; each light reflected by the metal belt is photographed by cameras 43, 48, 53; the first to third lamps are light emitters for irradiating each light having each different color mutually; the cameras are color cameras for photographing each reflected light of each light irradiated from the light emitters to the metal belt; and a flaw of the surface of the metal belt end is inspected based on light information detected by the color cameras.
