METHOD FOR DETERMINING CHARACTERISTIC TEMPERATURE OF UNKNOWN SAMPLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for precisely determining the characteristic temperature of an unknown sample in a short time. SOLUTION: The method for determining the characteristic temperature of the unknown sample includes the step (a) for housing at least one reference sample and the unknown sample in the single container of a differential thermal analyzer or differential scanning calorimetric instrument, the step (b) for heating at least one reference sample and the unknown sample using the differential thermal analyzer or differential scanning calorimetric instrument, the step (c) for forming a calibration curve using the measured temperatures in at least two characteristic variations of at least one reference sample by heating and the literature values of the temperatures in at least two characteristic variations of at least one reference sample, and the step (d) for correcting the measured temperature in characteristic variation of the unknown sample by heating using the calibration curve.
