STEAM TURBINE POWER GENERATION PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine power generation plant capable of improving reliability by restraining an increase in a turbine rotating speed when a load is cut off. SOLUTION: This steam turbine power generation plant 1 has a boiler 4 having an overheater 5 for generating main steam 2 and a reheater 6 for generating reheated steam 3, a high pressure turbine 7 supplied with the main steam 2, an intermediate pressure turbine 8 having a first intermediate pressure turbine part 9 supplied with the reheated steam 3 and a second intermediate pressure turbine part 10 connected to the first intermediate pressure turbine part 9 via an intermediate pressure part connecting pipe 11 and supplied with the reheated steam 3 exhausted from the first intermediate pressure turbine part 9, and a low pressure turbine 22 supplied with the reheated steam 3 exhausted from the second intermediate pressure turbine part 10. A generator 23 is connected to the high pressure turbine 7, the first intermediate pressure turbine part 9, the second intermediate pressure turbine part 10 and the low pressure turbine 22. This steam turbine power generation plant 1 also has an overspeed preventive valve 19 capable of cutting off conduction of the reheated steam 3 in the intermediate pressure part connecting pipe 11.
