Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for freshening air using a propellant and a neutralizer, excelling in durability of a fragrance and causing no discoloration of cloth or the like by the propellant in jetting an air freshening product. SOLUTION: A container for storing an air freshening composition comprises the propellant containing compressed gas, and a dispenser. The compressed gas is selected out of compressed air, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, inert gases or carbon dioxide. When the container is completely filled with the propellant and air freshening composition, the air freshening composition is released from the container at a flow rate of from about 0.0001 grams/second to about 1.2 grams/second. In the case of using a malodor counteractant selected from mixtures of carboxylic acid containing aldehyde, ionone, cyclodextrin and acrylic acid safe for cloth, the method provides a reduction in malodors.
