Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved receiver for use in a wireless base station which achieves enhanced reliability, in particular, by separating diversity reception paths, regarding a wireless receiver and reception paths for the base station. SOLUTION: A receiver system includes a first diversity reception path for receiving a first radio signal and a second diversity reception path for receiving a second radio signal. The first and second radio signals are amplitude and phase shifted versions of the same information signal according to well known principles of diversity reception. The outputs of each receiver is coupled to a distribution bus and afterwards to at least one demodulator for diversity combining the first and second radio signals and for demodulating the diversity combined first and second radio signals.
