RECEIVING APPARATUS AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high-quality simultaneous reception with a single-tuner receiving apparatus. SOLUTION: A channel selection section 111 controls a tuner 130 to perform channel selection while alternately switching a plurality of channels. For each of the plurality of channels selected, received data are buffered in a buffer 150. Because of alternate channel selection, a missed portion is incurred in each of data but when a demodulator 160 performs demodulation, missed data are complemented by error correction using an error-correcting code. Since data are complemented for the plurality of channels, simultaneous reception can be performed without reducing quality. Thus, channel switching can be performed without time lag and in addition, a program on another channel can be video-recorded in a single-tuner receiving apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
