Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in a battery for accessories mounted in a vehicle due to charging/discharging. SOLUTION: A battery charge control device includes: a means for charging a battery with power regeneration during deceleration of a vehicle when the remaining capacity of the battery is between an upper limit value and a lower limit value and charging the battery with driving force of an engine when the remaining capacity of the battery is lower than the lower limit value or a discharging current from the battery is higher than a predetermined current value; a means for input of information on the type of a battery mounted in the vehicle when the engine is initially started after battery replacement; and a means for changing either or both of the lower limit value of remaining capacity and the predetermined current value based on the type information that is input.
