Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical transmitting apparatus that can check a target wavelength of a transmitter connected to an input port of a wavelength multiplexer without affecting a WDM signal being a main signal. SOLUTION: The optical transmitting apparatus comprises N-pieces of optical transmitters 210, an arrayed waveguide grating AWG 220 having a transmissive wavelength relationship between circulating input/output ports, and a light-intensity detector 230. Each optical transmitter 210 comprises a transmitter 211 that varies a transmission wavelength in a range of λ0-λNand a drive part. The AWG 220 has an output port #2 in addition to an output port #1 from which transmission wavelengths λ1-λNare made incident to an optical fiber transmission line. When λ2is selected as the transmission wavelength of a transmitter 211-3, the wavelength is outputted from the output port #2 of the AWG 220 and the wavelength λ2is detected by the light-intensity detector 230.
