ADMISSION CONTROL METHOD, AND ADMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an admission control method and an admission control system, which can execute admission control with high precision and by simple processing. SOLUTION: The method includes: a calculation step which calculates a probability of storing i packets as an equilibrium probability based on the number of average storage packets considering that a distribution of the number of storage packets in an equilibrium follows a geometric distribution; a calculation step which calculates the probability that the number of storage packets exceeds the maximum number of storable packets in a buffer as an exceedance probability based on the equilibrium probability; and a comparison step which compares the exceedance probability with a predetermined permissible value, rejects the reception of new traffic flow if the exceedance probability is higher than the permissible value, and permits the reception of the new traffic flow if the exceedance probability is lower than the permissible value.
