PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress speed variation caused by eccentricity of a photoreceptor gear in each of three photoreceptors for Y, M and C, while sharing one color driving motor by the photoreceptors in a constitution so set that the disposing pitch of the photoreceptor does not coincide with an integral multiple of peripheral length of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: Respective gears are assembled so that meshing timing of a maximum diameter spot due to the eccentricity of the photoreceptor gear 202C for C with a motor shaft gear of a color driving motor 90YMC synchronizes with the meshing timing of a maximum diameter spot due to the eccentricity of the photoreceptor gear 202M for M with the motor shaft gear thereof. A control means controls driving of the color driving motor 90YMC so as to suppress the speed variation of one rotation cycle in the photoreceptor 1C for C caused by the eccentricity of the photoreceptor gear 202C for C and speed variation of one rotation cycle in the photoreceptor 1M for M, caused by the eccentricity in the photoreceptor gear 202M for M, based on the detected result by a color gear sensor 91YMC.
