Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which exhibits sufficient performance in all of catalytic performance such as stereoregularity and catalytic activity, and to provide a method of manufacturing α-olefin polymer using the catalyst. SOLUTION: A catalytic component for α-olefin polymerization is prepared by bringing the following components (A2), (A3) and (A4) into contact with a solid catalytic component (A1) which indispensably consisting of magnesium, titanium, halogen, nickel and an electron-donating compound, wherein the component (A2) is a silicon compound having an alkenyl group, the component (A3) is an organosilicon compound and the component (A4) is an organoaluminum compound.
