Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique by which steam generated in the reduction of metal oxide is efficiently separated and cost is kept lower than that by the conventional technique. SOLUTION: This hydrogen storage apparatus is provided with a reactor and stores constituent hydrogen of reducing gas supplied from the outside, wherein the hydrogen storage apparatus has particulate metal oxide which is held in the reactor and separates into metal and steam upon reduction reaction with the reducing gas, a heater which heats the metal oxide from the outer peripheral side, and a condenser which is disposed at a central part of the reactor and condenses steam generated by the reduction reaction between it and the metal oxide into water.
