Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform a spline fitting of a hollow shaft and a shaft body inserted into the inner periphery of the hollow shaft. SOLUTION: In the bearing fitting area of the hollow shaft 14, a hardened layer 24 is formed in the range extending from a position corresponding to a non-caulked side end face of an inner ring 15 to the position in front of the position corresponding to a caulked side end face, and the range extending from a position in front of the position corresponding to the caulked side end face to the axial end of the hollow shaft remains unhardened. The inner ring 15 is externally fitted to the outer periphery of the hollow shaft 14, and a spline part 14b is formed on the inner periphery of the hollow shaft 14 after the axial end of the hollow shaft is caulked with respect to the inner ring 15.
