Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head slider having satisfactory AE detection sensitivity with a small drive voltage and a low noise, and being configured to suppress adverse effects on a magnetic head, when an AE sensor constituted of a piezoelectric element is built into the magnetic head slider. SOLUTION: In the magnetic head, having a thin-film AE sensor built therein, the thin-film AE sensor, a heater and a thin-film magnetic head are formed integrally, in this order, on the medium-facing side, in the vicinity of the floating surface of a conductive slider substrate.
