Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of abnormal noise by reducing oscillation of an exhaust system accompanying vibration of an engine by connecting an exhaust emission control device to an exhaust manifold via a spherical universal joint mechanism, and to fasten an upstream side flange member of the spherical universal joint mechanism to the exhaust manifold made of a light alloy so that the upstream side flange member is disposed to be aligned in a cylinder row direction in which oscillation of a pair of elastically repelling means made of ferrous metal accompanying vibration of the engine is small and a position in which oscillation caused by vibration of the engine becomes large is avoided. SOLUTION: In this engine exhaust device, a catalytic converter 2 is connected to the exhaust manifold 1 made of an aluminum alloy and having a cooling water jacket 3 via the spherical universal joint mechanism 10. At this time, the upstream side flange member 12 made of ferrous metal of the spherical universal joint mechanism 10 is made long in the cylinder row direction, and rod members 17 of the elastically repelling means 15 are screwed on both sides in the longitudinal direction thereof to fasten the upstream side flange member 12 to the exhaust manifold 1.
