SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CLEARING HOPPER-CLOGGING ASH SUCH AS COMBUSTION ASH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent combustion ash from being deposited by installing a simple facility on a hopper and by blowing away combustion ash adhering to an inner wall surface of the hopper or by breaking deposited combustion ash clogging the hopper, thereby preventing the hopper from being closed, so that the combustion ash can be smoothly suction-conveyed without stopping an ash handling apparatus. SOLUTION: An ash conveying system including the hopper 1 for accumulating the combustion ash A captured by a dust collector and an ash conveying pipe 2 connected to the lower end of the hopper 1, sucking the combustion ash A falling from the hopper 1 and conveying it to the ash handling apparatus 4 is configured by attaching a jet pipe 9 to the hopper 1 for jetting compressed air toward the combustion ash A adhering to the inner wall surface of the hopper 1 to turn in the hopper 1, so that masses of ash such as the combustion ash A are blown away and conveyed through the ash conveying pipe 2.
