Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system capable of achieving a good balance between convenience as a charging station for vehicles and reliability in authentication. SOLUTION: A function to determine whether or not the power is supplied from a power-feeding connector through a power line to a power-receiving plug is added to a plug-in hybrid or an in-vehicle battery. In the charging system, an IC tag is provided to the power-receiving connecting terminal of the power-receiving plug at a vehicle side, and an IC-tag reader is mounted inside or near the power-feeding connector of a charging station. The IC-tag reader reads out tag data in the charging plug mounted with the IC tag, and compares it with the preliminarily registered data. If both data are proved coincident, the power-supply operation can be started from the power-feeding connector. A security measure can be materialized with a cheaper system configuration by utilizing the IC tag and the IC-tag reader widely employed in industrial equipment and commercial appliances.
