PASTE FOR FORMING CATALYST LAYER, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL ELECTRODE USING THE SAME, AND POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL ELECTRODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a polymer electrolyte fuel electrode which solves problems of deterioration of an electrolyte membrane and hydrogen ion-conducting polymer electrolyte caused by heating and electron beam irradiation of a high accelerating voltage, degradation of durability performance of the electrode resulting from the deterioration, expansion and deformation of the electrolyte membrane by organic solvent, and a drying time and a space for a drying furnace. SOLUTION: The past for forming a catalyst layer does not contain the organic solvent. The method of manufacturing a polymer electrolyte fuel electrode uses the paste, and forms a catalyst layer on a surface of the electrolyte membrane in a short period of time by electron beam irradiation of a low accelerating voltage.
