Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open/close type window glass damage detector capable of detecting damage to window glass by efficiently applying a counter magnetic field to a magnetic switch. SOLUTION: A magnet 50 is provided in window glass capable of freely opening or closing the opening of a vehicle to generate a fixed magnetic field. Coils 67a, 67b for generating counter magnetic fields are connected to a magnetic field turned on by the magnetic field of the magnet 50, and generate a counter magnetic field for canceling the magnetic field of the magnet 50 following the on of the magnetic switch to turn of the magnetic switch. The damage to the window glass is detected on the basis of a switching period of the magnetic switch.
