Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool which ensures strength and is lightened as much as possible or is made at a low cost. SOLUTION: The spool assembled in a spinning reel to wind up a line thereon includes a spool body portion, wherein both the longitudinal end portions of the spool have circular portions 24, 26 having larger outer diameters than those of a body portion 22 in a region between both the end portions; one circular portion 24 has a sharp angle portion standing up at a sharp slope of ≥45 degree to the body; the other circular portion 26 is integrated with a connection portion 28 for connecting the spool to a spool shaft 30 or is received in the connection portion; and at least the sharp angle portion and the body are integrally formed from a fiber-reinforced resin. The spool body is formed by arranging three or more prepreg sheets in the circumferential direction, and at least a reinforcing portion is disposed in a longitudinal central portion of the body.
