Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve airtight failure by preventing crevice corrosion from occurring in a sealing interface between a stem base and a glass in an airtight terminal using a heat-resisting stainless steel stem base. SOLUTION: An airtight terminal 20 includes a heat-resisting stainless steel stem base 22 and a lead 24 penetrating a deposited glass 23 and is constituted by insulating the lead 24 from the stem base 22 via the glass 23. The heat-resisting stainless steel stem base 22 has a mounting part 25 on its periphery and a sealing part 30 on its center, wherein both parts 25, 30 are not subjected to corrosion resistant plating to leave the stainless steel exposed. When the airtight terminal is mounted on the other component, airtightness with the glass 23 is ensured by preventing weld dust in a mounting operation by welding to the exposed surface of the heat-resisting stainless steel of the mounting part 25 and by the insulating film of the heat-resisting stainless steel.
