Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iris authentication device which allows iris authentication using an image obtained by crosswise photographing a person to be authenticated and allows the person to be authenticated to pass straight, thereby improving the convenience. SOLUTION: An image input part 5 inputs an object image obtained by photographing a target person A to be authenticated, in a direction inclined to a path P along which the target person A is going. An image segmenting part 15 segments an eye area image from the object image. A first distortion correction part 17 corrects distortion of the eye area image on the basis of a photographic angle θ of a camera to generate a first corrected image. The first distortion correction part 17 expands the eye area image in a horizontal direction in accordance with the photographic angle θ. A second distortion correction part 25 corrects the first corrected image on the basis of a positional relationship between an iris and a pupil to generate a second corrected image. The second distortion correction part 25 brings an iris center and a pupil center close to each other.
