HYBRID CONSTRUCTION MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid construction machine enhanced in reliability by drivingly controlling an electrical operation element of an electric motor generator and a swing motor over a certain period even if the electrical operation element of an assist motor generator and the swing motor or a drive and control system for driving the element causes a failure. SOLUTION: The hybrid construction machine includes a capacitor for supplying and receiving power between the electric motor generator and the electrical operation element, a DC bus for connecting the electric motor generator and the electrical operation element, a boosting converter disposed between the DC bus and the capacitor, an abnormality detection part for detecting the abnormality of the drive and control system of the electric motor generator or the electrical operation element, and a boosting voltage control part for switching the boost-up operation and the boost-down operation of the boosting converter. The boosting voltage control part continues to control the boosting voltage of the DC bus by the boosting converter when the abnormality of the control system of the electric motor generator or the electrical operation element is detected by the abnormality detection part.
