METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DAMPING OSCILLATION OF GROUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for damping the oscillation of the ground causing a risk of oscillation pollution such as, for example, a piling work. SOLUTION: Piezoelectric oscillation control plates 5A, 5B are disposed covering the ground surface surrounding an earthquake center and a pressurizing plumb 6 is placed thereupon. The piezoelectric oscillation control plates are configured to hold a piezoelectric element between an upper steel plate and a lower steel plate. The ground oscillation applies repeated pressures to the piezoelectric element to generate power, causing the oscillation energy of the ground to be converted into electric energy, with the ground oscillation attenuated. The electric energy thus generated can be flowed to electric resistor to be re-converted into thermal energy for dispersion, but also can be charged into a battery for effective application.
