ARTICLE PROCESSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article processing device easy in constitution and capable of easily synchronizing the movement of an article by a carrying means with the movement of a processing head. SOLUTION: A filling device 2 as the article processing device has a carrying means 3 for carrying a vessel 1 and a filler 5 for filling food in the vessel. The filler has the processing head 5b having a filling nozzle 5a and a moving means for reciprocating the processing head between a processing starting position D1 and a processing finish position D2. The carrying means has a carrier 11 for holding the vessel and a liner motor 12 composed of a plurality of electromagnets 12a for moving or stopping the carrier by a magnetic force, and the electromagnets are provided in at least the processing starting position. An engaging means 21 is arranged for making the processing head engaged with the carrier, and after making the processing head engaged with the carrier in the processing starting position, the moving means moves the processing head and the carrier up to the processing finish position while maintaining an engaging state.
