Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading unit which is manufactured in a smaller size. SOLUTION: The image reading unit has: a reading means having a still manuscript reader for reading an image of a still manuscript and a transport manuscript reader for reading an image of a transporting manuscript to read an image of those manuscripts; a transporting means for transporting the manuscript; a size index sheet for the still manuscript; and a transparent film member for guiding a transporting manuscript to the side of a pressure plate opened and closed in the transport manuscript reader.
