PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase write speed, and to improve reliability without deteriorating write performance even in writing data accompanying a write verification function. SOLUTION: A storage includes: a command analysis section 22 for determining whether a command related to data received from a host device is a read command; a forced access determination section 23 for determining whether the read command is a forced access command when it is determined that the command is a read command; and a read-ahead inhibition section 24 for inhibiting a read-ahead function when the command is a read command and it is determined that the command is a forced access command.
