Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that as for a gift, such as a mid-year gift, the use of a system for sending the gift may be decreased as an article different from the gift selected by a sender may be sent if an alternative article selection as performed in the conventional technology is done, and since the sender often remembers a receiving person and selects the gift with a feeling of gratitude, the feeling of the sender may not be conveyed if the article selected by the sender is changed in such a manner. SOLUTION: In the system which retrieves the recommended gift using the history information regarding the sender's gift, if there is no history information regarding the gift to the desired sending destination, a category ID indicating the category of the gifts whose use (order) frequency is at or above a predetermined criteria is specified from the order history of the sender, and the articles of the specified category ID are extracted as a candidate of the gift.
