Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid dropping a flange of a ferrule assembly out of an engaging portion of a housing when the ferrule of an optical connector is pressed. SOLUTION: An optical connector includes a housing 2, a ferrule assembly 3 and a compression coil spring 12. A flange of the ferrule assembly 3 is engaged with an engaging portion of the housing 2. The ferrule assembly 3 is held in the housing 2 movably back and forth by the compression coil spring 12. At one end aperture side of the housing 2, a housing area of the ferrule assembly 3 is defined by a fitting portion facing a guiding portion of the flange of the ferrule assembly 3 and the engaging portion which engages with the flange. A disengagement position of the flange from the engaging portion of the housing 2 is substantially conformed to the solid height of the compression coil spring 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
