INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER BODY AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer belt for an image forming apparatus, the intermediate transfer belt being excellent in wear resistance, creep resistance, size stability, durability, and scratch resistance, maintaining constant surface glossiness as well as fire resistance, exhibiting high transfer rate and transfer performance regardless of the surface properties of an image carrier or a recording medium such as paper, preventing defective images such as void, non-uniform density, non-uniform color, providing a high quality image, and having a long life, and providing a high quality image, and to provide an image forming apparatus that uses the intermediate transfer belt. SOLUTION: A toner image obtained by developing a latent image with toner, formed on the image carrier is transferred to an intermediate transfer body. The intermediate transfer body includes an epoxy silicone layer on at least a base layer, the epoxy silicone layer containing a copolymer of epoxy silicone.
