Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a constitution in which the thickness and projection area of a body can be suppressed, and in which an auxiliary display device is arranged at the vicinity of a main first display device. SOLUTION: The video display device includes a main first display means and an auxiliary display means, the auxiliary display means being arranged at a lower part side front plane of a display plane in the main first display means in a state, in which a part of auxiliary display means overlaps the front plane. In the video display device, the auxiliary display means is provided with a display part; a drive substrate of the display part and a backlight having a light source at a lower part side of the display part; the drive substrate is arranged outside a region in which the part of auxiliary display means overlaps; and near the light source of the backlight-rear surface and an empty space is formed at a region in which the part is arranged in a state in which it overlaps; the main first display means can be arranged at the empty space, in a state in which a part of the main first display means overlaps.
