Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warming-up device for an internal combustion engine by which in a cold start of an engine, vaporization of injected fuel is accelerated, while in the engine being operated at high temperature, overheating of thermal storage materials is inhibited so that problems such as degradation of materials are prevented from occurring. SOLUTION: The warming-up device includes: a cooling water circuit 40 formed in a cylinder head block 30; a thermal storage device 50 which is placed in the cooling water circuit 40, and provided with a thermal storage material-housing chamber 61 housing the thermal storage material 20; and a rotation mechanism 70 for rotating the thermal storage material-housing chamber 61. The thermal storage material-housing chamber 61 is structured to be movable between a first position where the thermal-storage material-housing chamber 61 comes into contact with a wall 35 on the combustion chamber 13 side of the cylinder head block 30, and a second position where the thermal storage material-housing chamber 61 comes apart from the wall 35 to be placed in the inside of the cooling water circuit 40. Heat of the thermal storage material 20 is released at the first position to heat the cylinder head block 30 nearby the intake port 31 and the intake valve 32, and at the second position, thermal storage is effected in the thermal storage material 20 thus to prevent the thermal storage material 20 from being overheated.
