SOLUTION: The anti-herpesvirus agent comprises an essence obtained by distillation and extraction of a substance prepared by fermenting Alnus japonica with a strain of Frankia being a symbiotic fungus, has high safety and is inexpensive since Alnus japonica grows extremely quickly and is inexpensively obtainable as a raw material.
