SOLUTION: The electric vacuum cleaner includes a load estimating means equipped with the function for estimating the load from the current value that flows through a brushless motor and a control mode switching means equipped with the function for changing the controlled variable of an inverter circuit among the number of rotation, electric current, and electric power in accordance with the load estimated by the load estimating means.
