DATA COMMUNICATION DEVICE, COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for detecting a communication speed by analyzing communication data, and for adjusting the communication speed according to detection results. SOLUTION: A communication device for performing serial communication of an asynchronous system is configured: to calculate provisional bit width by applying a timer measurement time from the start position of a start bit configuring reception data to the next bit change position existing at the first half of a word and preliminarily set reference bit width; to acquire the timer measurement time from the start position of the start bit to the final bit change position of the word as a final measurement time; to calculate the bit width based on the final measurement time and the provisional bit width; and to perform the calculation processing of the communication speed by applying the calculated bit width.
