Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device and a display method which can allow a user to keep the track of his/her current position even if the remaining amount of a battery is exhausted. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 1 comprises: a battery 6 as an electric power supply; a display 3 having a storage property in which information can be continued to display even after the supply of electrical power from the battery 6 is shut off; a GPS signal reception section 5 for acquiring current position information indicative of a current position of the portable telephone 1; and a control section 8 for causing a display 4 to display the current position information and time information indicative of a time when the current position information is acquired.
